Gunboat Philadelphia - Development Update Number 2!
After the long holiday, I was checking on the progress of our in-development kits and look what Bob Crane sent me in email - pictures of the brass prototypes of the 9-pounder guns the Gunboat Philadelphia by Model Shipways! Enjoy the pics!
This is looking to be a great build! This may be a dumb question but is this going to be a plank on frame or plank on bulkhead kit? Will the kit have those sweet brass cannons or will they be made out of another metal?
Not dumb questions! The model will be plank-on-frame, similar to our Picket Boat (http://www.modelexpo-online.com/product.asp?ITEMNO=MS2261). As for the cannon, our intention is to use the "sweet brass cannon"! Well worth it for this kit!
That is looking great guys. Kudos to Bob on what is looking to be another great kit. I cant wait to see more.
